NDSC Volunteering

Notice to Members:

At the most recent Annual General Meeting a motion was raised by in-coming President John McGrandle and seconded by Daniel Hamaoki. The motion was subsequently carried.

-  North Delta Soccer Club implements a volunteer deposit fee of $50 per family, to contribute a minimum of 2 hours of volunteer time over the course of the 2014/15 playing season.    Your deposit will be returned if you provide the minimum two hours of volunteer time, and if not, the $50 goes to general revenue for the club.  Second – Daniel. All in favour – carried.

The impending result of this carried motion is that a volunteer deposit of $50 will be required by all member families for the upcoming 2014/15 Fall soccer season at the time uniforms and equipment are passed out to managers and coaches to be distributed to all players. This deposit will be returned to the family members if they provide a minimum of 2 hours volunteer time with the club.

In order to help facilitate this process Min Lee has accepted the role of volunteer coordinator for this upcoming Fall season. Min will create a list of volunteer opportunities so that every member family has as much opportunity as possible to volunteer 2 hours per year and subsequently have their $50 volunteer deposit returned to them. The underlying reason for this volunteer deposit is to subsequently encourage all families to take an active role in the club.

With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous to you, your family, and your community. The right match can help you find friends, reach out to the community, learn new skills, and even advance your career.

Currently we are preparing to be an active participant in the Delta Days Parade and Min is looking for volunteers to help decorate the float, man the booth we will have at the end of the parade and overall is just looking for general help. In order to contact Min and show your interest with this task or any other ideas you may have please contact Min at
