North Delta Men's Soccer Club U - 21 Team 2014/2015
North Delta Soccer Club is planning on running a U - 21 team, in the season staring September 1, 2014. All players interested are welcome to attend a first evaluation session on Thursday July 24 at 7:00 pm start at Delsom Field North Delta Community Park rain or shine. Check in and warm up at 6:30. Ajit Braich will run this session on behalf of the club. There will be additional sessions based on the best availability of all players. Please pass the word to all players that may be interested in playing. If you cannot attend the session but are interested in playing please contact Jim Matheson email@example.com so we can add you to the list and let you know about the next session. Once we have seen the interest and commitment level we will announce the coach and league details. The cost to play will be determined prior to the team selection, but estimate would be around $250 per player, and team would be at least 18 to 20 players. Practice times for the Men's level are at 9:00 pm on the turf. Game times and fields will be determined to best suit the club structure and team availability.
Update: A second session will be held 6:45 PM, Wednesday July 30th, at Delsom.
North Delta Soccer Club and the hiring committee comprised of President John McGrandle, Vice President Jim Matheson and Field coordinator Brian Radford are proud to announce the recent hiring of Erica Kerr as Registrar/ Administrator and Tanya McCulloch as Administrator for the soccer club. Each of these individuals bring several years experience volunteering and working within the club as both age group coordinators and special events facilitators.
Erica has been an age group coordinator since her twin boys started at U6 while Tanya has also been an age group coordinator and most recently has been coordinating both our Fall academy and Spring soccer programs. Both ladies are also “NDSC Volunteer Of The Year” award recipients.
“We are very excited to add both Erica and Tanya to our staff and more importantly to our team” said John McGrandle, President NDSC. “The combination of these individuals’ backgrounds and knowledge of the Club will allow us to better serve our membership.”
Please help us in welcoming both Erica and Tanya into their new roles with our Club.

At this year's Annual General Meeting a motion was passed to help increase the level of volunteerism in the club. NDSC will require a minimum of 2 hours of volunteer time per family for the 2014/15 season. A $50 volunteer deposit will be collected similar to the uniform deposit already collected, and will be returned if the two hours volunteering was provided.

Annual General Meeting
At the Annual General Meeting held Monday April 14th, John McGrandle was elected by acclamation to become NDSC's 26th President. John returns for his 7th term as President! In addition, Paul Costa was awarded "Coach of the Year", Erica and Mark Kerr were co-winners of the "Volunteer of the Year" award, and "NDSC Player Representative of the Year" went to Jonathan Yang. Congratulations to all!

NDSC General Manager Announcement
NDSC is pleased to announce the hiring of the Club’s first General Manager - Ryan Galovich. Click here for the full announcement.
The General Manager shall be responsible for guiding the growth and development of North Delta Soccer Club. In addition, the GM shall be responsible for overseeing/managing all paid staff. The GM will report to the Executive via a smaller, yet to be established, committee of Executive Members.
The official start date for the new GM will be March 1, 2014. Ryan will be stepping down as President of the Club on an immediate basis. Jim Matheson, current Vice President, will assume the role of “Acting President” until the next AGM.
BC Summer Games Announcement
Kudos to NDSC President and U18 Delta Coastal Selects Coach Ryan Galovich for being selected as the Head Coach for the Boys U12/U11 BC Summer Games program. He was selected from among many candidates and the process was carefully scrutinized by BC Soccer. Ryan and Assistant Coach Scott Stefanek from the Burnaby Program will also be doing a full assessment of all players selected for future BC Provincial Programs.

Canadian Soccer Association and BC Soccer Strategic Planning for the Development of Soccer
The Canadian Soccer Association officially launched “LEADING A SOCCER NATION”, the official Strategic Plan for soccer development in Canada from 2014-2018. BC Soccer is in support of the national vision and have previously launched their own three year strategic plan in 2012 for the development of soccer for all British Columbians. Result of Extraordinary General Meeting
In accordance with Club Policy V.2, NDSC held an Extraordinary General Meeting December 9th at Mackie Clubhouse, to vote on the proposal to amend our budget to allow the hiring of a paid General Manager to facilitate the smooth running and growth of the club. The motion as presented by John McGrandle:
I motion that the Club Membership provide approval to the current Executive for the creation of a full time, paid, General Managers position within the Club (based upon an annual salary range of between $35,000 and $50,000) and for the approval to commence the hiring process for this position on an immediate basis with a goal of having a GM in place on an interim basis during the back half of the 2013/2014 season (being Feb 1, 2014 to April 30, 2014 on a prorated basis). Thereafter and following the next AGM to be based on a contractual obligation of a 2 year term.
The results of the vote were 59 in favour, 3 opposed and none abstained.

Introducing U5 Soccer!
NDSC together with SurDel are proud to introduce U5 Soccer for players born 2009 and 2010.
A fun, 1 hour session once per week to introduce boys and girls to the fun game of soccer! Sessions are led by professional technical staff from both clubs.
Registration fee includes a T-shirt to keep. Sessions are Saturdays at 3:00 starting January 25th.

Introducing 3 new Enhanced Training Programs
In a continuing effort to provide quality soccer programming Ajit Braich, Technical Director North Delta Soccer Club, is pleased to announce three brand new programs each focusing on specific areas of training:
- Supra Fitness and Sport (SFS): headed by Yaw Osei, staff coach, this program is a drop in optional session for all prospects players U8 � U10, held Wednesdays 5:00 to 6:00 PM.
- First Touch and Finishing: headed by Ajit Braich, this is a unique program designed for (but not limited to) attacking midfielders and strikers U12 to U18, looking to improve their first touch for passing, crossing and scoring. Friday nights.
- Goalie Academy: headed by Pedro De nobriga of Sells Goalkeeping Academy. This program runs Friday nights in conjunction with the Academy.

NDSC and the One20 Pub & Grill are partnering for a great fundraising initiative. This is a great opportunity to raise funds for your Club and Team.
Purchase gift cards and the One20 Pub & Grill will contribute 10% of the total amount in cash: 5% to NDSC and 5% to the team.
Teams that are interested will have their Team Managers collect orders and funds and submit them to our Club Treasurer.
